Scope
This Cookie Policy explains what we store on your device and why. Like our Privacy Policy (https://www.cogfuture.com/privacy-policy), it is a single company-wide document covering our website at www.cogfuture.com, the RoyalTea platform at royalty.technology, and our games, including Brew Crew and Village of The Ages (VOTA).
Read it alongside the Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with the information itself.
The Short Version
We use very little, and none of it is for advertising.
We do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies.
We do not run Google Analytics, remarketing tags, affiliate tracking, or social media tracking pixels.
We do not sell or share your information with ad networks, and there is no ad network embedded in our products.
We use a small amount of strictly necessary browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your settings.
Our marketing website uses cookieless page-view measurement.
What We Actually Store, and Why
www.cogfuture.com (our marketing website)
We set no cookies of our own on this site. The only measurement in use is:
Framer Analytics page-view measurement (events.framer.com)
Type: Analytics, cookieless
Purpose: Counts page views and referring sites in aggregate so we know which pages are useful. It does not set a cookie and does not build a cross-site profile of you
Duration: No identifier is stored on your device
royalty.technology (the RoyalTea platform)
RoyalTea sets no cookies at all. It uses your browser's local storage, which works similarly but is not sent with every request. The entries it creates are:
royaltea_access_token, royaltea_refresh_token
Type: Strictly necessary
Purpose: Keeps you signed in between page loads. Without these you would have to re-enter your password on every screen
Duration: Until you sign out or clear site data
royaltea_current_studio, royaltea_current_project, royaltea_current_view
Type: Functional
Purpose: Reopens the app on the studio, project, and view you were last working in
Duration: Until you clear site data
royaltea-preferences, soundMuted, and display settings
Type: Functional
Purpose: Remembers your interface settings, such as theme, text size, and whether sounds are muted
Duration: Until you clear site data

Purpose: Remembers which introductory tips you have already seen so we stop showing them
Duration: Until you clear site data
royaltea_pending_tree, royaltea_pending_lore, royaltea_pending_blockout
Type: Strictly necessary
Purpose: Holds work you create in our free public tools before you have an account, so it is not lost if you decide to sign up
Duration: Until you sign up or clear site data
pendingInviteCode, royaltea-referral-code, onboardingStudioId, and other temporary signup values
Type: Strictly necessary
Purpose: Carries an invitation or referral through the signup flow so you land in the right studio
Duration: Cleared when signup completes
Our games
Our games are not web pages and do not use cookies. They store save data, progress, and settings as local files on your device or in the cloud-save service of the platform you play on. You can remove these through that platform, or by deleting the game's saved data.
Third Parties
We keep third-party embedding to a minimum. These are the only ones, and each operates under its own privacy and cookie policy:
Oncade (widget.oncade.online) — our payment provider. Its checkout appears as an embedded frame only when you are actually buying something or managing a subscription. It may set its own cookies or storage to run that transaction securely.
Google Fonts (fonts.gstatic.com) — serves the typefaces used on www.cogfuture.com. No cookies are set, but Google receives your IP address as part of the request for the font file.
Epic Games Store and Steam — when you buy, download, or launch our games through these platforms, you are using their software, and their cookie and privacy policies apply to what they store.
Our links to X, Facebook, and LinkedIn are ordinary links. We do not embed their tracking pixels, and clicking one only shares information with those companies once you arrive on their site.
Why You Do Not See a Cookie Banner
Consent banners exist so you can refuse non-essential cookies. We do not set any, so there is nothing to refuse. Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, storage that is strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for — such as keeping you signed in — does not require consent, and our analytics is cookieless and does not identify you.
If we ever introduce advertising, marketing, or non-essential analytics cookies, we will add a consent banner and update this page before those cookies are set.
How to Control What Is Stored
Clear or block storage in your browser. Note that clearing site data for royalty.technology will sign you out and reset your interface preferences.
Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site data
Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Global Privacy Control. We honor GPC browser signals as a valid opt-out request where the law requires it.
In our games. Delete the game's local save data, or manage cloud saves through the Epic Games Store or Steam.
Opting out of analytics. Because our page-view measurement is cookieless and anonymous, there is no per-user identifier to opt out of. Standard browser tracking protection or an ad blocker will stop the request entirely if you prefer.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
If we change what we store, we will update this page and revise the "Last Updated" date above. Material changes — particularly the introduction of any non-essential cookie — will be announced before they take effect.
